Welcome to my cozy, whimsical atelier where handmade fashion and art come together!
Inspired by nature, nostalgia, and all the little details that make life truly beautiful.
Hi! I'm Maple, the artist and designer behind Maison de Maple.
I was born in a very small town in rural Manitoba, Canada, where I started drawing digitally around 2005, discovering furry art along the way and creating it alongside my admittedly quite bad anime fan art. My parents always encouraged me to pursue art as a personal hobby rather than a career, so I put my tablet pen down around 2011 to focus on several years of college.
Nearly a decade later in 2020, I decided I wanted to pick that tablet pen up again... only to realize I needed to order a new one online - not only because technology changed, but I had immigrated down to the United States to marry the love of my life and left a lot of my old stuff behind. (It was totally worth it!!!)
Soon after beginning my renewed art journey, I had the incredible opportunity to work as the Production and Logistics Manager (read: I make things and ship packages) for Puvithel, a small alternative fashion brand based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Inspired by this new world of fashion, art, and the wonderful community surrounding it, I found myself rediscovering a variety of creative hobbies.
Drawing on my lifelong love of art, along with the sewing knowledge passed down by my late grandmother, I hope to share my creations and bring even a small fraction of the joy I put into my work to everyone who happens to stumble across my little artistic corner of the world.
Whether it's a handmade garment, a digital illustration, or a tiny embroidered tag detail, I believe every piece from Maison de Maple should feel thoughtfully crafted, comforting, and made with love.
